Greek: Casting for Cappie’s Parents
By · CommentsGreek is on hiatus. The popular ABC Family show will return with new episode on January 12.
In the meantime, though, fans can get excited about this news: the series is casting for Cappie’s mother and father!

Producers sent out a notice this week, seeking an actor and actress in their late 40s or early 50s. The notice is looking for stars to plays characters described as…
Mom (a.k.a. April) is a free spirit who lives her life simply and in the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment. She’s a good woman with an honest soul. Dad (a.k.a. Tobias) is a hard-core hippie — a spontaneous non-conformist who loves life and vegan cuisine.
Any suggestions for who should take on these roles?
Greek Season 3 Episode 10 Friend or Foe – Recap
By · CommentsA week has passed since Cappie and Casey reunited at Thanksgiving, but they still have not told their closest friends. Evan and Ashley don’t give an overwhelming response of joy when they find out. Ashley is worried that Cappie will be a distraction to Casey, when she needs to focus on the upcoming Songfest competition. And Evan is just weird about the whole situation – probably because he still has feelings for Casey.
Pan-Hellenic President Katherine asks Casey to be Vice President of judicial on the Pan-Hellenic board. If she accepts it means she won’t be able to compete with her sorority in the Songfest competition, and Ashley is depending on her.
The ZBZ girls are crestfallen when they hear that Casey will not be participating. But it doesn’t compare to the blow they receive when Katherine tells them one day before Songfest that they cannot use the choreography prepared by Beth, since she had deactivated that semester by joining IKI. After delivering this piece of information, Katherine puts Casey on the spot and asks for her decision regarding the board position – Casey doesn’t hesitate to decline the offer. ZBZ only has one day to prepare a completely new performance, and they’re counting on her to help them win those crucial Blue Ribbon points that will help put ZBZ back on top!

They pull off a remarkable new number that receives a standing ovation at Songfest. Even so, Gamma Psis end up winning the competition! The ZBZ girls are convinced that Katherine, a Gamma Psi, cheated since she tallied the votes.
The ZBZ girls investigate by breaking into the Gamma Psi house to get a look at those voting cards. It turns out that ZBZ got amazing scores by all the judges but one, who gave them a zero. This same judge gave the Gamma Psis a 100, while their other scores were lame. Very fishy! They have all the proof they need…
Meanwhile, Rusty and Dale are still feuding with each other. The judges evaluate all the physics projects for the grant, and both Dale and Rusty are finalists – however, they won’t be revealing the winner until the next semester. The guys can’t leave things as it – apparently, there is only one way to settle things: battle bots.
There is a lot of smack talk. Calvin explains to Rusty that Dale is really jealous of him, since Rusty has so much going for him, and all Dale has is science. So Rusty takes a fall in the robot death match, and maybe saved his friendship, as a result.
The feuding between Omega Chis and Kappa Taus has been renewed again, perhaps incited when some of the Kappa Taus wrote on an Omega Chi plaque over Thanksgiving. To retaliate, the Omega Chis put crickets all over the KT house. Cappie thinks that Evan ordered the prank because he’s made that Cappie and Casey are back together. The KTs then retaliate by blocking the Omega Chi front door with a brick wall. And Evan thinks that Cappie ordered that prank because he was angry that Evan expressed disdain for Cappie and Casey’s reunion. Why does it always come back to Casey? The brothers are clearly acting on their own.
Casey decides that it would be good for the fraternities to work together in a joint prank against a common enemy: the campus security guard, Officer Huck. The KT guys are reluctant to trust the Omega Chis – and with good reason. The Omega Chis are super bitchy about doing anything with the Kappa Taus, and some of the brothers criticize Evan’s leadership ability if he’s willing to do a prank with them. However, it seems like they will go along with the plan, which is to steal Officer Huck’s golf cart.
While the brothers are lifting the golf cart, the Omega Chi participants abandon ship. It turns out that Evan planned this the whole time and called the cops on the KTs. Evan tells Cappie to run so he doesn’t get in trouble. But three of the KT brothers get caught and they end up getting expelled!
Evan comes to the KT house to apologize to Cappie – he explains that he needed to make this move to gain some leverage in the house – that the Omega Chi house was all he had left, when Cappie had so much going for him. However, this was some serious betrayal. This could very well be the end of Evan and Cappie’s friendship. Evan is feeling vulnerable, and makes his way to Rebecca’s room, where she is very accommodating…
The ZBZ girls are in big trouble though. The Gamma Psi house is engulfed in flames – and it’s potentially their fault. Rebecca left a lit candle on top of the clipboard. Ashley suggests they turn themselves in – Casey says absolutely not. The girls take an oath – pinky swearing and all – that they will never discuss the events of that night with anyone outside of the house…
And that’s where they left it for the season! We’ll have to wait till next season to find out what happens to ZBZ!

By · CommentsAir Date: Monday November 2, 2009

Will Cappie’s and Casey finally get back together? And if so, what does this mean for Cappie and Evan’s friendship. Will Ashley be supportive?
As one of the biggest blue ribbon competitions Songfest is approaching, the ZBZs are determined to win it all. But Panhellenic president Katherine offers Casey the VP position forcing Casey to choose between Panhellenic or ZBZs. Then, Katherine throws a second curveball to the ZBZs by disqualifying their dance the night before the competition but ZBZ pledge Abby will try to save the day with an all new choreography. Will they make it work and win the competition?
The rivalry between the Omega Chi and Kappa Tau heats up when the OXs fill the KT house with crickets. Greek Season 3 Episode 9 The Wish-Pretzel – Recap
By · CommentsIt’s Thankgiving break! But conveniently all of our favorite CRU students are stuck around campus this weekend, making for some awesome drama.
Casey thought she was going home – she probably should have listened to those voicemails from mom and dad telling her they were going on vacation without them. Casey was looking forward to going home, though – not to see her parents or anything – but to hook up with an old boyfriend because she’s desperate to break this dry spell! So it looks like she’ll be spending Thankgiving with Rusty and Dale instead.

There are a few other stragglers too. Rebecca ends up back at the ZBZ house because her flight was cancelled, or so she says. It turns out she couldn’t deal with family drama for four days. Cappie and Evan are also staying on campus. Evan doesn’t think he’ll receive a warm welcome at home, and Cappie’s parents just don’t do Thanksgiving apparently.
Evan and Cappie make plans to go golfing on Thanksgiving day, even though Cappie has a longstanding tradition of participating in the Kappa Tau Turkey Hunt, where the brothers follow clues to a hidden turkey. Fortunately, Evan is running late, and Cappie can help the brothers who are absolutely “clueless” when it comes to figuring out the hints. The clues bring them all the way to the Omega Chi house – when the brothers want to pull some pranks, Cappie has to put the kabash on those plans – and the brothers question his motives…
Meanwhile, Casey and Rebecca attempt to perform some acts of charity – Casey criticizes Rebecca for offering money before her time. But when they show up to help out Moveable Feast, an organization that delivers food to elderly, the volunteer organizer ridicules them for volunteering on Thanksgiving with everyone else, and reminds them that there are 364 other days a year where people need help. After she chastises them, she warmly welcomes Rebecca’s $10k check.
Rusty and Dale are spending the weekend working on their physics projects – they’re facing a Monday deadline to submit applications to a prestigious grant. Dale’s work had been more promising, but then Rusty had a major insight into his own project, and began to move ahead. Dale gets jealous, and in his efforts to thwart Rusty’s progress, his own project goes up in flames – literaly – they’re working with some pretty unstable materials here. And it looks like Dale’s project may not be ready for the deadline now.
Dale is extremely stressed about the physics project, and he’s supposed to preparing a full Thanksgiving dinner, which is stressful in and of itself. When Rusty inadvertently added cranberries to a recipe where they didn’t belong, the camel’s back was broken – and Dale cancelled the Thanksgiving dinner.
Still in the spirit of charity, Casey decides to move the dinner to the empty ZBZ house and she invites all the vagrants remaining on campus for the weekend. At the dinner, Casey repeatedly tries to get Evan to invite Cappie over. Rebecca’s behavior indicates that she’s into Evan again. However Evan seems to be into Casey!
When the two are alone in her room, he almost makes a move on her – she confesses that she’s interested in more than just a booty call and has to explicitly make it clear to him that she’s not interested in him.
Rusty and Dale get into a huge fight. Rusty’s advisor, Prof Hastings, has been warning him about trusting people in the laboratory. He had experienced first hand treachery by a friend. Dale’s jealousy has gotten the best of him – late at night, Rusty walks into the lab to find Dale reading through his notes! Dale jokes to Rusty that he should take his snooping as a compliment, because it means that he now sees him as actual competition – obviously, Rusty is completely insulted! He didn’t think that his good friend actually though of him as “The Anchor.”
Rusty returns to the KT house, where an unlikely gang of KT brothers, Casey, Rebecca, and Evan have gathered for a Thanksgiving dinner. Though some of the guests were anticipating a turkey dinner, it turns out that the “turkey” hunt, was really Whisky – go figure.
Cappie and Rusty chat on the roof. Rusty describes his self-healing wire, as a wire that just keeps growing back – giving himself (and Cappie) some inspiration to not give up. Rusty heads back to the lab to make science history. Unfortunately, he can’t happily share his triumphs with Dale.
And Cappie, well he’s inspired to keep going in his pursuit of Casey. Cappie walks her home and nervously tries to tell her how he feels. The emotions are thick and the anticipation is even greater – and then they kiss!!! And they say they’re going to give it another try. Finally.
